• Place a copy of SmartOpen 1.0.6 (System 7 required) anywhere you like. For quick access, you can put an alias of SmartOpen on your DeskTop, or in your Apple Menu Items folder. For even quicker access, you can optionally install the FKEY resource found inside SmartOpen into the System file, which will allow the SmartOpen dialog to be opened on a command-shift-number key sequence. (Usage of the FKEY requires that SmartOpen reside on the same volume that your System folder is on.)
FEATURES
• SmartOpen presents a standard open dialog, from which you can "navigate" any volume and select any item to open.
USAGE
• To open the selected item, click the Open button or use the return or enter keys.
• To open a folder window (as opposed to "navigating" into the folder), click the Folder button. The Folder button will be enabled whenever the selected item in the list is a folder.
• To quit without opening anything, click the Cancel button or use the escape or command-period key.
